Long Stitch Book Binding Kit & Tutorial by Erin Zamrzia

“If you’re intrigued by the art of book binding, but aren’t quite sure how to get started, Erin Zamrzia of Erinzam has you covered. Not only does graphic designer Erin make beautiful little books, she introduces the art via a handy kit that shows exactly how to sew a long stitch binding with a single thread. The exposed stitches of this particular binding create a pretty pattern of parallel lines.

If Erin’s kit whets your appetite for book making, she is the author of At Home with Handmade Books, released just last year, that details twenty eight beautiful projects created with ordinary and repurposed materials.”

Jane Austen Bandages - Sure, to some she brings to mind the romance and culture of the landed gentry, but she also wants to help you heal your boo-boos. Each bandage has either a drawing of, or a quote from, Jane Austen.

I need these.

My mood is very Star Wars-y lately. I am just so torn between grabbing the blu-rays in the morning or not. Argh. Like… sigh. This used to be an easy decision: of course! But now I am so terrified to see what other tweak Mr. Lucas has gone and done to these movies I love so dearly. I could go buy the original trilogy and suffer through Jedi Rock, but if I get those, I don’t get all the sweet special features. If I buy the big box set, I get all the special features and the original trilogy (special editions) in HD, but also the prequels. Sigh. If I can afford it, I will get them. Use my Target giftcards to take a chunk off and pay the rest. I mean, let’s be honest. I’m a sucker for these flicks and I always will be. Besides, The Empire Strikes Back on blu-ray? How can I turn that down?
